ISO 19011, Guidelines for conducting audits of management systems, the auditing standard designed for internal auditing, will be revised by ISO. ISO 19011 is also used by TwinSparc 17020 Audit in carrying out audits for inspection bodies.

André Wisselink, consultant and auditor for ISO/IEC 17020:2012 management systems at TwinSparc will be a member of the dutch standards committee for ISO 19011, which drafts will be discussed by ISO.

uniform structure

An important reason for the revision is the uniform structure of all management system standards for which audits are conducted (the High Level Structure or HLS). The HLS has been incorporated in, among others, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, but will eventually be the basis of all ISO standards for management systems, including the 17000 series for conformity assessment.
